It should be with someone with proven strategies & track record of working with many PSLE students.  2. More assessment books?  -        “Practice makes perfect” that’s what we te

The 2 marks Terrarium Science Question

In the recent years, Terrarium making has been quite popular.  Today I am going to share how Terrarium question (Linked to: water cycle  + environment + energy in food topic)  can be quite popular these days and it is also the question where a lot of students can't get their full 2 marks.   It's quite fun to learn all the different science concepts through the creation of a Terrarium.  Here's some pictures of the students and what they did!  More photos here!  At the end of the day, we learnt about the processes that takes place in the Terrarium:  Processes: Evaporation Condensation Photosynthesis Respiration Transpiration  We made a piece of notes on Terrarium, an example of the notes below :)  HERE YOU GO, here's the question you might see for SA1!  (This is from our Avengers power up day mission test)  - Click to see the photos of our power up day!  Here's how you can get 2

The best way to learn is to learn through experience! This is what we believe in - experiential learning. This is what we did: 1. Fill a beaker with water 2. Grab a variety of materials made of rubber, metal, paper, wood, cloth, plastic, tissue... the list goes on! They can test anything they like! 3. Drop the item into the beaker. (Hypothesis) Before they drop the item in, ask them to GUESS if it will float or sink. 4. (Observation) Ask your child whether the item sink or float ? Have fun with your child! Test it out!  Ans: (a) A- branch, ball, ruler B- pen, key, stone (b) A: Float on water B: Sink in water  Science can be fun! Let your child explore and learn through play
